Brave is ending its referral program

All good things must come to an end. As we finalize the year of 2020 with a much-anticipated crypto bull-run, Brave finally ends its referral program after distributing over $13 million in BAT over the course of 3 years.

For me, the program was fun and rewarding. I got a chance to write about a product, service that I truly believe out-weights other competitors in the marketplace and one that continues to reward its average users for their advertisement consumption.

I also got I chance to accumulate 1890 Basic Attention Tokens from April 2019 to October 2020, accumulated only from the referral program. I hope these BAT tokens will become more scarce and will increase in value over time as the Brave Browser continues to gain traction in the marketplace.

One way users will continue to get encouraged to use the browsers is because of its privacy features, its rewards for ad views, and most importantly its fun tipping system which I hope will continue to catch on.

I will my best to support the Brave browser on a daily basis and will continue to refer to it among many other great things I refer to without receiving monetary credit for it. The best reward truly is seeing people satisfied, to enable people to discover the power of blockchain using simple applications such as the Brave browser.

Little changes like this, in my opinion, can truly shift the way a person thinks about the technology we use, the choices we make and the world we leave in.

Brave is a start and I continue to hope that its user base continues to grown, and its network flourishes to its full capacity.

All my best
