My crypto vacation in Brazil — Insights from a foreign Brazilian

Santa Cruz de Cabrália — the birthplace of Brazilian Civilization

It is truly a blessing to be back in my home country of Brazil and enjoy everything I always did. Here I am always amazed by the diversity of wildlife and the beauty of its nature. But more fascinating than that is the resilience of our people.

The majority of people in Brazil are poor but truly happy to be alive despite their difficulty to make ends meet. Income inequality here is quite high and with that comes a series of social and economic problems. The Brazilian workforce, from what I see, is constantly wishing and working for a better life without much success, but despite the troubles they celebrate.

In my opinion the lack of financial education, resources and opportunity are one of the causes of this problem. Banking in Brazil is quite expensive, complicated and unavailable to so many.

I see crypto currencies as a solution to this problem. With decentralized cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Litecoin one can be your own bank. Resources are already available in Brazil, since internet connectivity is constantly improving and 4g available in metropolitan cities and spread out thru sell phones being used as hot zones. In addition the majority of the population already owns and make use of smartphones, with few affordable brands.

I think it is really important to continue to educate Brazilians about decentralized crypto currencies as an alternative to money and as a store of value. And that is what I am trying to do in my trip. I do it in a very subtle way and work directly towards the adoption campaign. I do so by telling business about it and explaining to them how easy it is to download a wallet and start accepting crypto. For those in my personal network, who are curious about crypto, I tell them my own crypto journey and explain to them that crypto is not only about mooning and making huge profits, but a reserve of value, a belief in the simplicity of blockchain technology. Or better a small revolution that has big goals which is to create a more fair and transparent system, one that is most importantly incorruptible. Because Brazilians are truly so tired of CORRUPTION.

I hope that in this trip I was able to spark curiosity in many and help many understand points that they did not know about Bitcoin, Litecoin or blockchain technology in general. Many people are literally asking me about it and I feel so much openess about this topic. and I this this is cause they have a complete disbelief in the system.

Some of the great crypto products, apps and wallets I referred while vacationing were Lite Wallet, Edge Wallet, Brave Browser, Ripio Exchange, Creary.net, Publish0x, Somee.social among others. All of them I use and love and feel hopeful about their future. Hope people in Brazil get to know these products and apps and with that get a great start on their own crypto journey.

Hope you enjoy some of the shots I took in this wonderful trip! Happy New Year to you all. I shall be back on the last week of January with lots of fresh new content, full of inspiration.
